# Jovvie Checkout for Event Tickets settings

Section: Jovvie Checkout > Event Tickets

> What each section of the Jovvie settings does in Event Tickets.

This page explains each setting for Jovvie Checkout for Event Tickets, which uses Stripe. All of these settings are on one tab. To open it, go to **Tickets** > **Settings** > **Payments**, then open the **Jovvie** settings. You need to be a WordPress administrator.

Before you connect your Stripe account, you only see the connection section. After you connect, the other sections appear. See [Install and connect](https://docs.jovvie.com/checkout/the-events-calendar/install-and-connect/).

Sections appear in this order. Save your changes at the bottom of the page after you edit anything.

## Connection

Shows **Status:** **Connected** when your Stripe account is linked. Before that, it shows **Connect Automatically with Jovvie**. See [Install and connect](https://docs.jovvie.com/checkout/the-events-calendar/install-and-connect/).

## Webhook

Shows the **Last webhook received** date and time.

Payment confirmations from Stripe (webhooks, which are automatic messages sent to your site) must be set up for Event Tickets orders to complete. Without them, a paid order is not marked completed. Test mode needs its own setup, separate from live mode. To confirm that webhooks are set up for your site, contact [Jovvie support](https://jovvie.com/support/) before you sell tickets.

## Location ID

A location is the place your readers are registered to, and it tells Stripe where your readers are. Choose one option:

- **Custom Location ID**: Enter an existing location in **Stripe Location ID**. Use this if you already created a location in your Stripe account.

- **Create location**: Jovvie creates a location for you. Fill in the address fields:

  - **Address Line 1**
  - **Address Line 2** (optional)
  - **Postal Code**
  - **City**
  - **Country**: Open the list (it starts with **Choose a country / region**) and pick your country. For the United States, the list includes each state.

After you save a created location, the section shows:

- **Created Location**: the location Jovvie made.
- **Live Stripe Location ID** and **Test Stripe Location ID**: the live and test versions. Readers you register in **Live** mode go to the live location, and readers you register in **Test** mode go to the test location. These fields are read only.
- A list of the readers registered to each location, with their status.
- **Reset Location**: select this and save to start over. Read the **Reset Location** caution in this section first.

Saving a location here does not limit which readers the payment page lists. The payment page shows the readers of one location only when the browser was connected to that location. See [Connect Browser](https://docs.jovvie.com/checkout/the-events-calendar/settings/#connect-browser).

> **Caution: Reset Location**
>
> **Reset Location** deletes the readers registered to the created live and test locations, and then deletes both locations. Afterward, you must create a location and register your readers again. Do not reset while a payment is in progress.

If you see **Failed to create location. Please check the data you entered and try again.**, check the address and save again.

## Register Reader

This section only appears after you save a created location. Use it for web readers. A web reader (also called a web terminal) is a card reader that connects to the internet on its own, and staff use it from a web browser.

- **Mode**: **Live** or **Test**. Choose **Live** to register the reader for real payments, or **Test** to register it for test payments.
- **Registration Code**: the short code shown on the reader’s screen.
- **Label**: an optional name that helps you recognize the reader.

Only web readers (Stripe Reader S700 and WisePOS E) need a registration code. Readers you use through the Jovvie app on a phone or tablet are registered by the app. For hardware background, see [Web terminals and app terminals](https://docs.jovvie.com/hardware/web-and-app-terminals/).

## Connect Browser

Select **Connect this browser** to link this browser to a location, so the payment page can show readers without a WordPress sign-in. This stays active after you sign out of WordPress.

You can enter a location in the **Location ID (optional)** field.

When you save, you are sent to a Jovvie page to finish the connection. If you see **Redirecting to connect browser…**, wait a moment. If nothing happens, click **Connect browser**. If you see **Failed to connect browser**, try again.

Use this only on devices you trust, such as a box office computer. For shared or kiosk devices, see [Use Checkout on a shared or kiosk device](https://docs.jovvie.com/checkout/connect-a-browser/).

## Logs

Select **Enable logging** to keep an error log. You can then use **Download log** and **Delete log**. See [Turn on debug logs](https://docs.jovvie.com/checkout/the-events-calendar/logs/).
