# Jovvie Checkout for WooCommerce settings

Section: Jovvie Checkout > WooCommerce

> Every field in the Jovvie Payments settings for WooCommerce, in the Account Management, Location & Terminals, and Payment Connect groups.

This page explains every setting for Jovvie Checkout for WooCommerce, which uses Stripe. You can find these settings in WordPress under **WooCommerce** > **Settings** > **Payments** > **Jovvie Payments**. They are split into three groups: **Account Management**, **Location & Terminals**, and **Payment Connect**. You need to be a WordPress administrator.

Use this page as a reference. For first-time setup, start with [Install and connect](https://docs.jovvie.com/checkout/woocommerce/install-and-connect/).

## Account Management

This group connects the plugin to your Jovvie account and controls how Jovvie appears at checkout.

- **Enable/Disable**: Turns Jovvie Payments on or off at checkout. Connecting turns it on.
- **Title**: The payment method name customers and staff see at checkout. The default is **Jovvie Payments**.
- **Description**: The text shown under the title at checkout. The default is **You will be redirected to payment immediately after placing your order.**
- **Connection status**: Shows **Connect with Jovvie Payments** until you connect. After that it shows **Connected**. See [Install and connect](https://docs.jovvie.com/checkout/woocommerce/install-and-connect/).
- **Public key** and **Secret key**: These are filled in for you when you connect. Do not share them, and do not paste them into emails or chats. Leave them as they are unless Jovvie support asks you to change them.
- **Test mode**: Select **Enable test mode** to practice without charging a real card. Checkout shows the notice **Note! Test Mode is enabled.** while it is on. This setting belongs to the WooCommerce plugin, so it is not tied to any other WooCommerce setting. Readers and locations are kept apart for live and test. See [Use test mode](https://docs.jovvie.com/payments/test-mode/).
- **Webhook**: See [Webhook](https://docs.jovvie.com/checkout/woocommerce/settings/#webhook).
- **Reset**: Select **Delete plugin data when deactivating** to remove the plugin’s saved settings, including your connection, when you deactivate the plugin. Leave it cleared unless you want to start over.

Save your changes at the bottom of the page after you edit anything.

### Webhook

Payment confirmations from Stripe (webhooks) are automatic messages that tell your site a card payment went through. This field shows:

- A read-only **Webhook URL** box.
- **Last webhook received**, followed by the date and time of the most recent confirmation, once one has arrived.

WooCommerce orders only move to **Processing** after your site receives the payment confirmation. Without it, a paid order stays unpaid in WooCommerce. Test mode needs its own setup, separate from live mode. Confirmations do not reach sites that are in maintenance mode or running only on your own computer.

Before you take payments, contact [Jovvie support](https://jovvie.com/support/) to confirm that webhooks are set up for your site, in live mode and, if you use it, in test mode.

If WordPress shows the notice **No webhook received for Stripe + Jovvie In-person. Please check your settings.**, your site has not received a confirmation after a payment. The notice does not tell you whether the payment went through. Before you retry that payment or take it another way, check your Stripe Dashboard and confirm that no payment went through and none is still processing. Then contact [Jovvie support](https://jovvie.com/support/). If you are not sure whether the customer was charged, do not charge them again until support confirms.

## Location & Terminals

This group sets the location your readers belong to and lets you register readers. A location is the place where your readers are registered, and you need one to use them. For the general idea and the steps, see [Set up a location and readers in WordPress](https://docs.jovvie.com/checkout/locations-and-readers/).

The group also lists the readers it works with. Web terminals are card readers that connect to the internet on their own, and staff use them from a web browser. App terminals are readers that connect through the Jovvie app. In WooCommerce, **Web Terminals** are listed as **Stripe Terminal S700** and **Wise POS E**. **Jovvie App Terminals** are **M2**, **WisePad 3**, **Tap to Pay on Android**, and **Tap to Pay on iPhone**. The buttons **Shop Terminals** and **Download Jovvie App** open the reader shop and the app stores. See [Web terminals and app terminals](https://docs.jovvie.com/hardware/web-and-app-terminals/).

### Location ID

The description reads **Default Stripe terminal readers Location ID.** Choose one of these options:

- **Custom Location ID**: Use a location you already have. Enter it in **Stripe Location ID**, then save your changes.
- **Create location**: Have Jovvie create the location for you. Fill in **Address Line 1**, **Address Line 2** (optional), **Postal Code**, **City**, and **Country**. In the **Country** list, countries with states or regions list each state separately. Save your changes. Jovvie creates a live location and a test location together.

After a location is created, the group shows **Created Location** with **Live Stripe Location ID** and **Test Stripe Location ID**. Under each ID it lists the readers registered to that location, with each reader’s label and status.

If you see **Failed to create location. Please check the data you entered and try again.**, check the address and save again.

> **Caution**
>
> **Reset Location** deletes the readers registered to the created live and test locations, and then deletes both locations. After a reset, you must create a location and register your readers again. Do not reset while a payment is in progress.

### Register Reader

**Register Reader** appears only after you use **Create location**.

Only web terminals (Stripe Terminal S700 and Wise POS E) need a registration code, which is a short code the reader shows on its screen. App terminals (M2, WisePad 3, and Tap to Pay) are registered automatically by the Jovvie app.

1. Under **Mode**, select **Live** or **Test**.
2. In **Registration Code**, enter the code shown on the reader.
3. In **Label**, enter a name for the reader. This is optional.
4. Save your changes.

Check that the reader is registered by looking for its label under the matching location ID, in the **Created Location** list.

## Payment Connect

This group lets guests use your readers on the payment page without signing in to WordPress. It is where you connect a browser.

- **Connect Browser**: Select **Connect this browser** to link the current browser to a location. This keeps access to your readers active after you sign out of WordPress, so a shared or kiosk device can take payments. In **Location ID (optional)**, you can enter a location to link to.

When you save, WordPress shows **Redirecting to connect browser…** and sends you to a Jovvie page to finish. If you are not redirected, click **Connect browser**. If you see **Failed to connect browser**, try again. Only connect browsers you trust. For the full steps, see [Use Checkout on a shared or kiosk device](https://docs.jovvie.com/checkout/connect-a-browser/).
