# Make a product available only in Jovvie Point of Sale

> Show a product in the register but hide it from your online shop and search results.

Make a product available in the Jovvie Point of Sale register without listing it in your online shop. A POS only product can be sold at the register, but it does not show in your online shop or in its search results. Use it for items you sell only in person.

## Before you start

You need to be an administrator, a shop manager, or someone else who can edit products.

## Make a product POS only

1. In your dashboard, go to **Products** and open the product.
2. In the **Publish** box, find **Catalog visibility** and click **Edit**.
3. Select **POS only**.
4. Click **OK**.
5. Click **Update**.

The register picks up the change the next time it syncs, which means updating its product list from your store. To see the change right away, use **Sync Now** in the register menu.

## Show a product everywhere again

1. Open the product.
2. In the **Publish** box, click **Edit** next to **Catalog visibility**.
3. Select **Shop, POS and search result**.
4. Click **OK**.
5. Click **Update**.

## What each option does

- **Shop, POS and search result**: the product shows in your online shop, in search results, and in the register. This is the normal setting.
- **POS only**: the product shows in the register only, and not in your online shop or its search results.

The same list has other options, such as hiding a product from the shop but not from search.

## Import and export

If you move products in bulk, this matters. When you export products from your store, a POS only product is exported with the catalog visibility value **pos**. When you import a product with that value, it becomes POS only.
