# Show or hide register buttons in Jovvie Point of Sale

Section: Jovvie Point of Sale > Set up

> Choose which buttons and menu links staff see on the register for each station.

Choose which buttons staff see in the Jovvie Point of Sale register. Each station has its own choices, and all buttons are shown by default.

Hiding a button only changes what appears on the register screen. Some buttons also depend on the user’s access or on other features being turned on, so they only show when they are available.

## Before you start

- You need to be an administrator or shop manager.

## Choose which buttons show

1. In your dashboard, go to **POS** > **Stations**.
2. Find the station and click **Edit Station**.
3. Open the **Display** tab.
4. Open one of these sections: [Top Bar Buttons](https://docs.jovvie.com/point-of-sale/set-up/register-buttons/#top-bar-buttons), [Cart Header Buttons](https://docs.jovvie.com/point-of-sale/set-up/register-buttons/#cart-header-buttons), [Cart Menu Buttons](https://docs.jovvie.com/point-of-sale/set-up/register-buttons/#cart-menu-buttons), [Completed Order Buttons](https://docs.jovvie.com/point-of-sale/set-up/register-buttons/#completed-order-buttons), [Main Menu Buttons](https://docs.jovvie.com/point-of-sale/set-up/register-buttons/#main-menu-buttons), or [Log Out Buttons](https://docs.jovvie.com/point-of-sale/set-up/register-buttons/#log-out-buttons).
5. Select the buttons to show. Clear the ones to hide.
6. Click **Save**.

### Top Bar Buttons

These are the functions in the product top bar. They apply whether the bar is expanded or collapsed.

- **Add**
- **Search**
- **Scan**

The **Add** button also needs the add-a-product feature turned on for the station.

### Cart Header Buttons

These are the controls at the top of the cart.

- **Add Customer / Customer**
- **Orders**

### Cart Menu Buttons

These are the actions in the cart “…” menu.

- **Cash Management / Open Drawer**
- **Clear Cart**
- **Sync**
- **Add Shipping**
- **Add Tax/VAT Number**
- **Add a Discount**
- **Add a Fee**
- **Add a Note**
- **Save Order (workflow)**

### Completed Order Buttons

These are the buttons on the screen shown after an order is placed.

- **View Order**
- **Print**
- **Email**
- **Sync**
- **Complete (processing orders)**

### Main Menu Buttons

These are the links in the main (hamburger) menu, the menu opened by the icon with three lines.

- **POS**
- **Products**
- **Orders**
- **Hours (Order Hours plugin)**
- **Reports**
- **Customers**
- **Coupons**
- **Dashboard**
- **Settings**
- **Stations**
- **Theme**
- **Support**
- **Sync Now**

Some links, such as Coupons, Reports, and Hours, only appear when the matching feature is available for your store.

### Log Out Buttons

You can offer log out in two places: **Main menu** and **Top bar**.

> **Caution**
>
> If you hide both, staff cannot log out from the register screen. They can still log out from your dashboard.
