# Install and connect Jovvie Point of Sale for WooCommerce

Section: Jovvie Point of Sale > WooCommerce stores

> Install the Point of Sale plugin, connect it to Jovvie, and open your first station.

Install Jovvie Point of Sale for WooCommerce and set up its Cloud Connection so you can open your first register. Cloud Connection is the default way to run the register for your own WooCommerce store. To run the register app on your own site instead, see [Choose Cloud or Self-Hosted](https://docs.jovvie.com/point-of-sale/woocommerce/cloud-or-self-hosted/).

## Before you start

- You have a WordPress site with WooCommerce installed and active.
- You are a WordPress administrator.
- Your browser allows pop-up windows for your WordPress admin site. The connection steps open in a pop-up window.

## Install the plugin

1. In your WordPress admin, go to **Plugins** > **Add New Plugin**.
2. Search for **Jovvie**.
3. Find **Jovvie Point of Sale POS for WooCommerce** and click **Install Now**.
4. Click **Activate**.

A **POS** menu now appears in your WordPress admin.

## Connect your Jovvie account

Until your site is connected, WordPress shows a notice on the **Plugins** page and the **POS** > **Stations** page. Its title is **You’re almost there. Just one step to finish setup.**

1. Open **POS** > **Stations**.

2. In the notice, choose one:

   - Click the main button that starts with **Set Up Your POS** to create a new Jovvie account.
   - Click **Connect Your Existing Account** if you already have one.

3. In the pop-up window that opens, follow the prompts.

4. Wait for **Jovvie account successfully connected! Payments enabled for processing**.

5. Close the pop-up window.

After you close the window, WordPress takes you to your list of stations. The setup notice no longer appears.

> **Tip**
>
> Do not close the pop-up window before you see the success message. If you close it early, start again from the notice.

## Check the connection

1. Go to **POS** > **Settings**.
2. Open the **Connection** tab.
3. Check that **Cloud Connection** is selected and its status shows **Connected**.

## Open your first station

1. Go to **POS** > **Stations**.
2. On the **Primary Station** row, click **View POS**.

The register opens in a new browser tab. To add more [stations](https://docs.jovvie.com/start-here/glossary/#station), see [Create and manage stations](https://docs.jovvie.com/point-of-sale/set-up/stations/).

## If the pop-up is blocked

If your browser blocks the window, the page shows **Popup blocked** with the message **Your browser blocked the connection window. Allow popups for this site in your browser settings and try again.**

1. Allow pop-ups for your WordPress admin site in your browser settings.
2. Click **Retry connection**.

## If the connection does not finish

- **Failed to validate Jovvie keys. Try again later or contact support**: wait a moment and try again.
- **Unable to connect. Try again later or contact support**: check your internet connection and try again.

If either message continues, contact [Jovvie support](https://jovvie.com/support/).

If you leave the page partway through, you may see **Complete Connection** with **You have returned from Jovvie POS Cloud. Click the button to finalize your setup.** Click **Continue Connection** to finish.
