Organize products into tabs in Jovvie Point of Sale

Choose the product tabs staff use in the Jovvie Point of Sale register so they can reach popular items quickly. Product tabs sit at the top of the product area. Each tab shows a set of products, or a list of categories, brands, or tags. Each station has its own tabs.

  • You need to be an administrator or shop manager.
  • Decide which groups of products staff look for most, such as a category or your featured products.
  1. In your dashboard, go to POS > Stations.
  2. Find the station and click Edit Station.
  3. Open the Display tab.
  4. Open the Product Tabs & Cache section.

By default a station has four tabs: All, Categories, Featured, and On Sale.

  1. Under Product Selection, click Add Tab.
  2. In the filter row, open the list that says Select type and choose what the tab shows.
  3. If the type needs a value, search for it and select it. You can pick more than one.
  4. In Label, enter the name staff see on the tab.
  5. Optional: select a color swatch for the tab.
  6. Click Save.
  • All products
  • List of categories, List of brands, List of tags: show the list as tiles that staff open.
  • Products on sale
  • Featured products
  • Products from specific categories, Products of specific brands, Products with specific tags
  • Products with specific attributes
  • Products of specific types
  • Specific products
  • Products with specific tax status
  • Products with specific stock status
  • Blank

To combine filters in one tab, click the plus button in the filter row to add another filter. To remove a filter, use the trash button. You cannot remove the last filter in a tab.

Select Group on a filter to show those items together as a single tile. The tip next to it reads “Group products as a single tile” (or categories, brands, or tags, depending on the type).

  1. Drag a tab by its handle (the three vertical bars on the left) to its new place.
  2. Click Save.
  1. Click Remove on the tab.
  2. Click Save.
  1. In Product Tabs & Cache, select Enable Home.
  2. Click Save.

The Home tab appears before your other tabs. It is off by default.

The product cache is a saved copy of your product list that can make the register load faster. Jovvie recommends it if you have a large product catalog or want to improve how quickly products sync.

  1. Select Enable Product Cache based on Tab configuration.
  2. Click Save.

After you turn it on, the page shows Current cache was created on: with the date and time. If you change products and want the register to pick up the change, click Refresh cache.

Staff who already have the register open may need to reload it to see new tabs.
